The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has recently launched new generation
number plates in Kenya. These plates are designed with enhanced security features that make forgery or duplication impossible, which makes the vehicles safer and more secure.
The new plates come with a QR code, NTSA serial number, the Kenyan flag, a hologram, and a microchip. These plates are not just secure but also visually appealing with different fonts and designs for the front and the back plates.
The government has rolled out the plates in compliance with the Traffic Act of 2016. The new plates not only make the vehicles secure but also help law enforcement agencies to track the vehicles and enable the Kenya Revenue Authority to track tax evaders. So, how can you apply for the new generation number plate?
Here Are The Steps To Follow:
Step 1. Log in to your TIMS portal.
Step 2. Select the “Vehicle Registration” option and then “Apply for Reflective Plate.”
